Christina Elizabeth Gross born December 4, 1965 peacefully passed away October 22, 2021 at 4:28 am in the Auburn hospital.
My mother taught me proper manners. She loved to cook and host Christmas parties. She taught me about Greek mythology and astrology when I was young. She was creative, smart, and she loved to read. Even when she was weak she tried to show she was strong. Even when she was at her worst she tried to do her best with what she had.
My mother I wish for you to suffer no more. I hope you are reborn into a beautiful, love filled life. I refused to let you go alone and I hope you felt my hand on yours as you slept.
Chris had a heart attack the afternoon of October 21, 2021. The Auburn hospital waited almost 5 hours for me to drive from Oregon to Washington. I spent four hours talking to her, spoon feeding her ice chips, holding her hand, forgiving her, telling her how much she was loved, and in the end we watched two of my favorite Disney movies as a child (The Lion King and Hercules) and I laid next to her as she left. Just me and her in the end as it was most my childhood. She spoon fed me and I spoon fed her.
Please instead of condolences leave thoughts, well wishes, and prayers so that a long time suffering sole is blessed with love and happiness in her next life.
I have 48 hours to figure out her memorial. Please if you can we could use all the support we can right now. With Covid and the unexpected loss we aren’t able to afford a full funeral and memorial. We just need enough so she can be cremated and can come home with me. Home with me where she should have been this whole time.
Even if it’s just a prayer for her I thank you so kindly and am so thankful for everyone in my life. Hugs for you all! ❤️
