Finally, a ray of HOPE for Amber - funding for treatment

Donation protected
Amber was a healthy and active young adult until March 12, 2020, when she contracted Covid the first time. Her life has never been the same. The normal Covid symptoms quickly turned into neurological ones with excruciating pain in her hands and feet, seizures, frequent loss of consciousness, anemia, migraines, and many other symptoms. She had to start using a wheelchair shortly after Covid because she could no longer bear weight on her feet. The following year, her left arm and leg became paralyzed following a surgery. As time went on the pain got more and more unbearable for her, and spread to every inch of her body, 10/10 on the pain scale every second of the day and made it so she is barely able to function. By July 2023, she started having skin lesions caused by severe lupus flares. By October 2023 she started having severe facial nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia) and started having severe dysphasia, and she was no longer able to get food down without choking. She survives with nutrition from TPN going into her port. She has since been diagnosed with Lupus, POTS, Raynaud's, small fiber neuropathy, CIDP, and several other conditions. Due to the lupus and Sjorgens syndrome, she has had damage to her tooth enamel, severe dry mouth, and unfortunately extreme tooth decay. Amber’s pain doctor also thinks she has CRPS, a pain condition that causes the highest level of pain on the pain scale and is known as “The S*icide Disease”, because patients have little to no hope of anything that will give them relief. Her full story over the last 5 1/2 years with all her symptoms and updates in depth is on her Instagram https://www.instagram.com/ambertthompsonn/profilecard/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== & her Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/ambertthompsonn?mibextid=wwXIfr

Now at the age of 23, Amber has lost everything she was once able to do. The chronic, debilitating pain and effects from all of her other symptoms are more than she or anyone else could bear.

We finally have a ray of hope. We heard about the Spero Clinic and they are helping patients that have very similar cases like her. It is our only hope to help Amber improve and have a quality of life once again.

5 1/2 years of torture is far too much and we are hoping this clinic can make a difference in her life.

The Clinic is in Arkansas and they do not take insurance. Amy will travel with Amber and they will stay there for a few months while Amber is getting treatment.

We can use all the help we can get to pay for the treatment, our travel expenses, and housing while we're there. If you're unable to contribute financially, we can definitely use your prayers.

Thank you all so much!
