Final Year of Honoring the Memory of Lauren Jarvis

Donation protected
A final walk for Lauren Jarvis has been organized in honor of her life as she was tragically and brutally murdered on April 2, 2023. The offender was charged with manslaughter and sentenced to 10.5 years with 7.5 years left to serve. This is not justice and we have a broken system. Something needs to change, NOW!

Lauren was a beautiful soul who loved spending time with friends whether it was going on a drive and listening to Fleetwood Mac, checking out new breweries, grabbing ice cream or finding a new place to eat (two of her favorite places being El Furniture Warehouse or Fu's Repair Shop). She was a woman filled with so much love, joy to spread and gifts to give (She was a very giving person). She was a sarcastic and funny young woman who was filled with light and continually made me laugh but others as well. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend to many. She had an unconditional love for those around her and would do anything for them, she was the meaning of a true friend.

This year is different from 2023 and 2024; this is our final walk, as court has come to a close. We will begin to fully grieve the loss of Laur, which is why I want to make a significant impact for Victims of Homicide Support Society Edmonton (VOHSS). I hope to unite the city to show their support and make it clear that we will not tolerate senseless acts of violence like this.
If you're unable to attend, please help by sharing and spreading the word as we honor her one last time as a community. You don’t need to have known Lauren to be part of the walk—being there to stand against murder is more than enough. Our legal system shows no justice for the victims, both surviving and deceased, so please join us as we rally together.

We would like to raise funds for the VOHSS , they assist individuals/families who are going through this tragic event every step of the way. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the directors of VOHSS, especially Susan/Alison for their tireless dedication and unwavering support. Your commitment to being there for individuals/families, especially in the courtroom, has made all the difference. We truly appreciate all of the hard work and effort you’ve put into ensuring we receive the support we deserve. Thank you for standing by our side and for being a constant source of strength.

More information can be found on their webpage:

The walk we have organized will take place on May 31, 2025, meeting time is at 11:00am & the walk will start at 11:15AM, location start/end point is Kinsmen Sports Centre. If you would like more information, there is a Facebook page called "Justice for Lauren" or you can contact me through Go Fund Me with any questions.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. We deeply appreciate any support you can offer, whether it's through donations, sharing this page, or keeping Lauren's loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. We thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for helping us make a difference in Lauren’s name.

With heartfelt gratitude,
