Hello, my name is Joshua Owens, and I’m a graduate of Bowie State University.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but like many students, finishing college came with financial challenges. Even after working consistently and doing everything I can to stay responsible, I’m still carrying about $8,000 in remaining college-related debt.

I’ve been handling my responsibilities head-on, but balancing everyday life while trying to reduce this debt has been tough. My family has faced its own challenges—my mother was laid off from her government job, and my father passed away right before I started college—so most of this responsibility has fallen on me.

This fundraiser isn’t a requirement—just an opportunity for anyone who believes in me to help lighten the load. Every dollar goes directly toward lowering my remaining college balance so I can start the next chapter of my life on stronger financial footing.

Any support, whether big or small, helps me move forward with less stress and more focus on building my career, creating opportunities, and giving back in the future.
