Here we go!! This will be my last semester before I graduate. I’ve worked really hard in school over the past few years & that hard work has kept me on the honor roll & gotten me scholarships and grants to help me cover most of my tuition, but now my federal financial aid has run out & I’m going to be $4000 short for this last semester. This amount doesn’t cover anything aside from tuition (which is $51k a year) & my graduation fees, and I’ll still have to work 2 jobs, including my workstudy gig, to make ends meet. I don’t want to take a semester off, so instead I’m asking you all to help me out if you can, and I mean it when I say even 5$ will make a difference- those $5’s add up. Can you skip one cup of coffee tomorrow to help me graduate? Or can you share this fundraiser with some people who might be down for helping a “starving artist”?
Also, I have sculptures for sale, if you’d rather make a purchase than a donation. Everything on my website is for sale- if you see something you like let me know and we can work out a price that fits your budget. www.zephyrtaurel.wordpress.com
I’ll be adding more things to the website soon- some mugs and bowls as well as sculptures, and I also take commissions, so if you’d like to request something specific, get in touch!
My first tuition payment is due asap ($625). I would normally have enough in the bank to pay that, but school- and living in California, has already taken my savings.
I have to say that CCA (my school) has been super supportive in giving me scholarships and other awards, but at the end of the day it’s friends like YOU who have come through with the rest of my tuition. I really could not do it without you, and after I graduate I Intend to help other people who are trying to make it through school, because I have felt so lucky being able to go back to school to do what I really makes me happy.
THANK YOU!
Zephyr
