Final Resting Expenses For Jackie

As you may of learned the sad news, my sweet mom got her wings very unexpectedly Saturday morning. She was in the rehabilitation nursing home getting stronger to return home soon. However, I guess God needed her at his home instead.

I call her mom, but she is also known as: Jacquenette, Jackie, Jack, Grandma, Big Sis, Tia Jackie, Nina, and most commonly, the "F bomb lady". She was always good for a friendly "F bomb" drop, in the most nicest way of course. Those that know, just know! No matter what those whom loved her called her, she would always make sure you knew she loved you. You never had to doubt her love, as it was as genuine as it gets.

She had a rough past several years with a rare disease called Fahr's Syndrome. It's a rare, genetically dominant, neurological disorder characterized by abnormal deposits of calcium in areas of the brain that control movement, including the basal ganglia and the cerebral cortex. It's very similar to Parkinsonism. The disease started to get really aggressive this past 12 months. She was hospitalized 4 times including her most recent stay this month. She never wanted to stop trying to control it, vs it controlling her. Although we were hopeful we could get her strong and enjoy more years to come, her fight sadly abruptly ended. I had no idea that when I spoke to her late Friday night it would be the very last time I heard her tell me "she loved me".

As hard it is to even type this because the tears just won't stop falling, I keep laughing to myself because I can totally hear her say, "come on babe, stop ugly crying. You're going to ruin your computer with those tears man".  I also imagine her reunion at the pearly gates with Grandma & Grandpa so joyous & beautiful. She is dancing her famous stomp, 2 step move while snapping with her contagious smile. Her no longer suffering and being free from pain brings me comfort.

My dad & I will be concluding all of her funeral plans the next couple days. Unfortunately, she didn't have a life insurance policy, nor a savings as she wasn't able to work any longer. After some suggestions from family, I decided to start this campaign to get some assistance with covering her final departing expenses. Her leaving us was very sudden and very unexpected, and we just weren't prepared. At all.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be handled directly by dad & I, and used solely for her final planning. We are hoping to end this campaign by Saturday, May 1st.

Thank you for reading.

Wishes for good health, peace, blessings and love to you all!
