Hi, my name is Logan Moore, and I’m the choir teacher at Oakland Middle School in Columbia, Missouri—my first year teaching at the same school I once attended!
I’m working to take about 60 choir students to St. Louis, where they’ll perform for judges and then celebrate their hard work with a day at Six Flags. It’s an exciting, memorable experience—and for many of these students, it’s not something they get to do often.
We’ve already raised about $1,400 through fundraising, which I’m really proud of. But we’re still about $1,000 short of covering our buses—and that is assuming all students can afford their $88 ticket to go. The total cost of the trip is nearly $8000 with all student tickets and transportation.
I’m doing everything I can on my end because I truly believe in what this experience can do for them. It’s not just a trip—it’s a chance to represent their school, build confidence, and be part of something bigger together.
If you’re able to help, even a small amount goes a long way:
- $88 sponsors a full student trip
- Any amount helps us get closer to covering transportation
- Sharing this page helps just as much
I grew up in Columbia’s thriving music community with my dad being a choir director and voice teacher here for over 30 years, and I know how much moments like this can stick with you. I want these students to have that same opportunity.
Thank you for considering being a part of it!
