Final Farewells For Our Father, Paj Txhim Xyooj
Donation protected
Our hearts are heavy as our Xiong family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Youa Toua (Paj Txhim) Xiong, on April 21, 2024. Our father struggled mentally, emotionally, and physically the past couple of years as his health gradually began to decline. Though there were plenty of odds against him, he never wavered to elongate his life the best he could so that he could continue to stay by our side. Our resilient father was a pillar of strength, respect, and love for our family. His love and his dedication to our family knew no bounds. When he immigrated to the United States, he had little to nothing. Despite this, he worked tirelessly to build our family and always made sure we were safe, fed, and had a roof over our heads.
Though our family is in mourning and we are still trying to grasp the realization that this is our new reality, we are faced with the financial challenges that come with a loved one’s passing. As we continue to cherish the memories of him that are etched in our heart, we kindly ask for our community’s support through donations to help cover funeral expenses during this difficult time. A traditional Hmong funeral lasts three days and two nights, where our father's spirit is guided back to his home to be reunited with his ancestors. As his children, we would like to give our father the farewell he deserves. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will be used to honor his life and legacy. We thank you for your consideration and generosity.
Your support and kindness mean the world to us as we navigate these trying times. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and support during this period of grieving.
