My wife’s mother, Jean Borden, passed away on December 17, 2024, after a long illness. She was brave and strong but ultimately grew tired and needed to rest.

Even though we knew Jean’s time with us was getting shorter, this happened kind of quickly. Unfortunately, Jean did not have any savings or life insurance, so Jen (as her only child) is faced with her final expenses while trying to process her loss at the worst time of year to experience the loss of one’s mother.

Jen has $4,500 saved up, but it's not going to be enough, so we set up this GoFundMe to try and ease her burden a bit. Anything would help to give Jen’s sweet mom the memorial service she deserves.
