As most of y’all probably know we are making my dad’s earthly preparations for his heavenly homecoming. My dad had neck surgery on Tuesday March 25. On Monday March 31 at 2 pm my dad started to experience pain. He went unconscious and his heart stopped. He coded twice and once again at the hospital. He coded for what the doctors believe a total of 20 minutes. They found the cause to be multiple large blood clots in his lungs. They immediately took him to surgery and were able to remove the clots. Throughout the night he had seizures and began to run a fever. He lost all response to pain and then eventually light. The doctors have done multiple tests and have determined he no longer has brain activity and the machines are keeping him alive. My family is truly in immense pain. My dad stepped up when all 5 of us kids were very young and took on a role he did not have too. With a disabled son and a house full of toddlers he loved my mom so much he jumped all in and has never turned back. This was so unexpected and taking care of my mom so she can heal and focus on my disabled brother is all I can hope for. All proceeds will go to medical payments and bills.
