Final expenses for Steve Maggiora
Donation protected
Steve was a loving father, devoted husband, and fourth of five boys. Moving every 3-5 years (Dad was an Air Force pilot) Steve learned to adapt and became a master problem solver. He worked in the construction industry, learning many trades. He eventually built a home for his wife Juanell and his son Sam in rural Kentucky, on a piece of land surrounded by Juanell's family. He was also an excellent musician and loved playing drums in bands across Southern California.
On December 21st Steve came down with the flu, and due to mysterious bleeding complications, he was rushed to the hospital the day after Christmas. After emergency surgery to save his life, the doctors discovered a large and well established tumor. Steve and Juanell were surprised to learn that it was inoperable stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Just 14 days later, Steve died peacefully on the morning of January 8th. God was so gracious to Steve as he faced his illness with strength and resolve, making people smile as only Steve could. He was telling us last week that he felt things were lining up and he was on the right course. He loved the Lord and was strong to the end.
Steve was a hard working father and the sole provider for his family. Juanell has been a stay at home mom, providing a safe and loving home for their many foster children.
Any help will be used for final hospital and funeral expenses, and to help Juanell and her children through this transition of life, without the husband she adored.
