On 12/23/23, we received the call that no one expects. Gene (our dad) was deceased & Sandi (our mom) was unconscious and put on life support. On 12/31/23, we were told Sandi is brain dead and we had to make the impossible decision to remove life support. As of 1/3/24, Sandi is in hospice, however is expected to pass in the next week. This nightmare is beyond words.

We do not at this time have a cause of death or any answers to what happened. Gene (dad) came back 1/2/24 from his autopsy and Sandi (mom) will have to have one prior to funeral services. This is protocol when the deaths are unexplained. All we know is we have lost Gene (dad) and Sandi (mom) and our worlds are forever changed. After much antagonizing over the decision of asking for money, all of the siblings know we need help and prayers. We are realizing our pride is getting us nowhere and this is real. We understand that it's right after Christmas and everyone is struggling so please do not feel that we think any different if you are not able to give. However, every single dollar helps.

We also want to acknowledge the outpouring of love and prayers. While we have not answered them individually, please know we have seen them and we are grateful. Prayers are greatly appreciated!! 

All funds not used for funeral expenses will be refunded! 

Funeral arrangements are pending. We have chosen the funeral home but will release details after Sandi is ready. As soon as they are finalized, we will announce them. This is pending the passing of Sandi (mom). There will be a double funeral for them.

Anyone who has donated and wants a receipt or proof of how your donation is allotted, please email this account and you will be provided this. We wish for full transparency for anyone who requests. The funeral home has stated donations can't be directly sent to them so this is the reason for the optional options.

We are using Flanagans in Buford. Junior the owner stated all donations have to come directly in person from the us to ensure proper allocation by us. DO NOT SEND DIRECTLY TO THE FUNERAL HOME AS I CONFIRMED AGAIN THIS AM THAT HE WILL NOT ALLOW IT. This is why we will provide full receipts etc.

Again, anyone with questions we are more than happy to answer. I tried to set up where donations could be made directly to the funeral home but they do NOT allow it. The Wells Fargo account is a memorial account set up for funeral funds only! Let me also reintegrate that all funds not used for funeral expenses will be refunded.
