Final expenses for Chelsea and her family
Beschermde donatie
UPDATE: Wow! What great response this has gotten! Chelsea’s family is really feeling the love and is so thankful ❤️ We all feel so helpless when a loss like this happens and it is nice to have a way to “do something” to lighten their load at this time of grief. Bless you all.
I am Pam. Chelsea is my closest cousin's daughter.
Chelsea died from Glioblastoma Brain Cancer on May 23rd. Diagnosed in January. Brain surgery at OHSU on March 22.
Chelsea was 35-years-old and leaves a 14-year-old son to be raised by his grandma and grandpa. It all happened so fast and has left the family grieving and reeling. The expenses from staying near her hospital and hospice, missing work, lots of gas, and food....has resulted in Chelsea's family being low on funds for final expenses. Chelsea donated her brain for cancer research to OHSU and her remains are at a Portland crematorium where there is a big bill to be paid before she can be released back to them and a fitting celebration of life planned.
Chelsea was such a positive person, who never wanted to be a bother to anyone. She loved her family with all of her heart. She had recently graduated from Dental Assistant school and was on her way to do big things with her young life.
The Go-Fund-Me money will go to Sheila and Ken, her grieving mother and step-father, to pay for the cremains, purchase death certificates, buy an urn for Chelsea's son, and other final expenses.
Can you please help us give her a simple send-off to honor her sweet short life? Any amount is fine.
