Despite doctors stating that Amelia would not get out of the hospital alive in June, she made a miraculous recovery and was able to go home, and even had the opportunity to visit family in Michigan. The visit was a blessing to everyone and it was something we will all cherish. Amelia quickly declined the past week and was readmitted into the hospital. On August 8th 2023, she was called home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a fighter, a blessing to anyone who met her, and will be dearly missed be many. All the support provided will help cover any final expenses as well as bills that have now become her daughter Karina’s full responsibility. We appreciate your prayers and support for our family as we mourn.

 A pesar de que en Junio los doctores dijeron que no saldría viva del hospital, Amelia se recuperó milagrosamente y pudo regresar a su casa. También tuvo la oportunidad de visitar a su familia en Michigan. Fue una bendición para todos y de la cual estaremos agradecidos por siempre. Amelia regreso al hospital de nuevo la semana pasada. En Agosto 8 2023, fue llamada a casa rodeada de sus seres queridos. Ella era una guerrera, una bendición para todos lo que la conocieron, y será extrañada por todos. Todo proveído a cubrir los gastos fúnebres que ahora son completa de su hija Karina. Les agradecemos sus oraciones y apoyo para nuestra familia durante este tiempo tan difícil.



In 2021, Amelia Mata Vázquez was diagnosed with Lung cancer. She has been fighting it with a positive spirit. Unfortunately, the cancer is very advanced and has taken over her body. Amelia was married to the love of her life, Ramiro Mata, until he passed away in 2013, after a long battle with lung cancer. She loved and cared for him until the last minute. Her son, Luis Mata who struggled with kidney failure and an autoimmune disorder passed away in 2020 at only 30 years old. During this time Amelia, along with her daughters Erika Karina Mata and Noemi Lorena Angulo also cared for our grandma until she passed away in March of 2022. Although she lost so much, Amelia remained strong in her faith and continued to have a heart of gold. She was positive and still willing to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Throughout her life, Amelia has never hesitated to help anyone in need. She would always open her door to anyone that needed a place to stay. She often raised money for family and friends who were also struggling with ailments. The past ten years have been difficult for her and her daughters. Erika has been by her mom’s side through all of this, supporting her both emotionally and financially. She is now caring for her during her final times. As a result, it has left Erika with a financial burden, as she takes care of all the expenses on her own. This week, Amelia took a turn for the worse. While she is still fighting, her body is tired. She is on life support and the prognosis is not very good. The doctors do not expect that she will recover. We want to make sure that Erika has all the support she needs during this difficult time. Worrying about how to pay for final expense is not something she should have to do. We truly appreciate all prayers for our family during this difficult time and any support that you can provide to lighten some of the burden off of Erika. Thank you in advance for your support. Durante este tiempo se ah mantenido con un actitud positiva. Desafortunadamente el cáncer está muy avanzado y su cuerpo se ha deteriorado mucho. Amelia estuvo casada con el amor de su vida, Ramiro Mata, hasta el 2013 cuando falleció después de una batalla larga con cáncer en los pulmones. Amelia lo cuidó y lo amó hasta el último minuto. Su hijo Luis Mata, que batalló con problemas en los riñones y una enfermedad del sistema inmunológico, falleció en el 2020 a solo 30 años de edad. Durante este tiempo, ella junto con sus hijas, Erika Karina Mata y Noemí Lorena Angulo también cuidaron de nuestra abuelita, Teresa, hasta que falleció en Marzo del 2022. A pesar de haber perdido tanto, Amelia se mantuvo fuerte en su fe y siguió teniendo un corazón de oro. Siguió positiva y dispuesta a ofrecer ayuda a cualquiera que lo necesitara. Durante su vida Amelia siempre a ayudado a las personas que lo necesitan. Habría sus puertas para cualquier familiar o amigo que necesitará un lugar donde quedarse. En varias ocasiones recaudó dinero para ayudar a personas que estaban batallando con enfermedades. Los últimos 10 años han sido muy difícil para Amelia y sus hijas. Erika se ha mantenido al lado de su mamá durante todo esto, apoyándola emocionalmente y financieramente. Ahora la está cuidando en sus últimos momentos. Todo esto ah sido muy difícil para ella y le ah causado estrés emocional y financiero, ya que ella se encarga de todo sola. Esta semana, la salud de Amelia deterioró y actualmente está dependiendo de máquinas para vivir. Los doctores no creen que se va a recuperar. Queremos asegurar que Erika tenga todo el apoyo que necesita durante este tiempo tan difícil. Preocuparse por cómo pagar por los gastos finales no es algo qué necesita en estos momentos.
