Safety Net For Khalil After Losing His Dad

Hi, my name is Ashlyn Preaux, and I was a friend of Dameion Fowler. Tragically, we lost him yesterday in an accident that doesn't even seem possible. Anyone who knew Dameion, knew his heart, passion, and integrity was strong. Not only does this loss profoundly affect me, but it is also going to leave a lasting effect on society and especially our community here in South Carolina and Horry County. Dameion was the first and sometimes the only one willing to support those in our community who usually don't have any support. He believed in transforming the world so that every person was free, all people were liberated, in the hopes that we would one day have a just society. You see this in his work with Grand Strand Action Together, the FREE Horry County Bail Fund, the Barter & Build Think Tank, and more throughout the years.

 

 

 

 

Khalil Gabriel Fowler was the love of Dameion's life. His son. Dameion took his parenting duties seriously, and Khalil was always his top priority. You could see the love he had for that little boy, it jumped out of his face...the one that hardly ever smiled because Dameion was the serious type. I would randomly receive photos of Khalil, or selfies of them together, and you could tell he treasured every second they spent together. To rip away a father, a GOOD father, from his son at such a young age (39 and 5) is the most tragic thing of all.

 

 

 

 

We need your help covering some final expenses for Dameion and setting up a safety net fund for Khalil, so he is taken care of. Yesterday, the world lost a wonderful soul, and a little boy lost his daddy. Please donate, and share this fundraiser, so we can meet and maybe even surpass our goal.
