In the early hours of August 5th, Antony 'Tony' Simrak passed away after a heart attack at the age of 29. He leaves behind his daughter Keni and son Kyle in Duluth, and his fiance & her two children (one whom he intended to adopt) in Indianapolis. The children range in age from 5 to 9. This fundraiser is for Tony's final expenses (Thus far about $4500). I would also like to cover Tony's share of monthly household expenses for the next year so his fiance & children there have stability while they heal. All funds raised in excess of that will be split across custodial investment accounts for each of his children .. to give them an easier start to life when they are older. Something he worked hard to do on his own, but I know he always wanted to give them a life without needing to struggle. The more we raise, obvioudly the more of a security blanket his little ones will be left with for their future. This means more than I can find words to say, as I'm still navigating toward the end of my cancer journey and just dont have the income available to pay for all this for him (and them) that I used to. I'm just maxxing my credit cards as a stop gap to get through the time sensitive things that need paying. Obviously in the grand scheme of things, there is no cost too great in memory of my beautiful son... but the better I (we all) can do by him, the easier I can sleep at night knowing I havent let him down by not finding a way to do enough. That is the agony I fear the most. These 4 children, and his fiance will never be the same, but I dont want them to lose out on the important things he would have provided for them. Like security, and the freedom to choose the life they want as they grow. I appreciate you all more than I can articulate as I write this and know so many of you will help me help them.
