On 7th September, dad and I will be taking part in the Sir Chris Hoy Tour de 4 – a 90 km bike ride around Glasgow and the villages where my dad grew up. We're doing it to raise money for two cancer charities that mean a lot to us.
I’m riding to support Prostate Cancer UK, a brilliant charity working to combat the most common cancer in men – affecting 1 in 8 during their lifetime, including my Grandad. Prostate Cancer UK is making a real difference by raising awareness, funding lifesaving research, campaigning for better care, and offering vital support to those affected.
It'll definitely be a challenge – I’ve never ridden that far before but it’s nothing compared to what I saw Grandad, and especially Grandpa, go through during their treatment. That’s what’s motivating me every step (or pedal) of the way.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot and help make a real difference.
Thanks for your support,
Finlay
