Fallen Star Film Festival Tour Fund
Hello, my name is Kyle Parish and I am the creator of the independent film studio, Parish Productions Films. We are located in the small town of Eastern Ontario, and all our work is self funded, meaning it comes out of my own pocket. Recently we completed work on our latest film, Fallen Star, which will be making appearances at film festivals across North America in 2025. We pushed the limits of what home technology can do, creating something that even just a few years ago would have been impossible on a bare bones indie budget. The cast and crew are a mix of film and acting students, along with a few long time crew members, all with the dream of making an amazing film and having some life changing experiences. It has always been something I've done when making a project is to try and give everyone the best experience possible and give them opportunities that I didn't have when I was starting.
And this is why I am here. In the past I have personally travelled with projects to film festivals, but this time around I want the cast and crew to be able to share in the great experiences. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to take the cast and crew out of my own pocket and with most of the crew being students, they definitely don't. So this is where for the first time ever, I am doing something I never thought I would do, and asking for help for the team. We already are booked for festivals in New York City, Toronto, Montreal, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and San Francisco, which more options possible. These festivals offer amazing networking opportunities for everyone that attends, helping build connections that will lead to bigger things in the future. But the costs of travelling are huge, even when sharing as much as possible. Hotels, gas, food, airfare, and a weak Canadian Dollar, all lead to huge costs for everyone that can come.
We want you all the share in our experiences and will be running a Vlog of each festival trip so you can see just what it is like to take part in one of these festivals. Funds will be set aside evenly for each cast and crew member. Once the tour is done in November 2025, any left over funds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Institute, as cancer has affected us all in some way, but it has had a direct effect on some of our team.
Whether we hit our goal, get more then our goal, or fall short of our goal, every little bit will help make 2025 an amazing enriching experience for each member of the team. I know that times are tough, and we thank everyone for any donation they are able to make, no matter how small or big. Thank you for helping.
