Scientific freedom is constantly under attack in a healthcare dominated by the drug industry and other vested interests, and people speaking truth to power are often removed from their posts. This happened to Professor Peter C Gøtzsche, currently Director of the Institute for Scientific Freedom in Copenhagen, the only Dane who has published over 100 papers in the five most prestigious medical journals in the world. He was expelled from the Cochrane Collaboration, a grassroots organisation publishing systematic reviews of the benefits and harms of healthcare interventions, which he co-founded. Cochrane’s leaders carried out one of the worst show trials ever conducted in academia. Peter was expelled because he had demonstrated in his research that psychiatric drugs do more harm than good, which the general public also say when surveyed, and that the HPV vaccines can cause serious neurological harms.

Our first two documentaries, “Silence of the truth: When health becomes big business and people die,” and “The illusion of psychiatry” will have world premiere in Lillehammer in September 2026.

Peter works in partnership with historian and documentary award-winning filmmaker Janus Bang, Facts Film in Fredericia, Denmark, who has shown many of his documentaries on Danish TV.
