Filing fee for the 6th District of Texas

The sudden death of Rep Wright opened up an opportunity for a less well known candidate to run for Congress. That also meant we only had a week to raise the funds or get the signatures. I have some money but I am short $1,500 for the filing fee due on Wednesday. I had a choice to make pay my unaffordable health care or run for Congress. My father just went into the hospital for his heart. I choose the health insurance. This morning as I raked up the leaves from the snow apocalypse in  Texas and I was weeding the dandelions I realized how much of a difference I could be in Washington if I was there weeding. I want everyone to do well but this most recent bill of pork approved by the DNC speaks volumes about how much weeding needs to be done in Washington. I want to expand Medicare/Medicaid for working Americans. I agree we need to raise the minimum wage to $15 because many of those working in "teenage" jobs are regular workers. I believe we need to hold "Big Tech" accountable for their gross censorship of free speech. Limiting gun ownership has not worked in Chicago or New York as well as many other places so I do not support bad policy after bad policy. As for Freedom of Worship and Religion, that is sacrosanct in our Constitution. So, I am making a big ask, can you help me get to Washington and start cleaning it up. First, we need legislation to allow Governors to declare a climate emergency and turn up the generators. Second, those fences need to go, and finally. All Americans need health care during a pandemic. That's just stupid.
