This fundraiser was created to benefit the Filburn family as they navigate one of the most challenging situations imaginable.

Upon the birth of Brendan & Karen’s son, they were hit with the devastating news that Brody was born with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. 

With the assistance of their medical team, Brendan & Karen settled on a treatment plan and began the long and difficult journey of getting Brody healthy.

While the Filburn’s were fortunate to finally be able to bring Brody home, his treatment requires ongoing, and routine stays at the hospital.

Nothing can prepare parents to endure a cancer diagnosis for their child, but Brendan and Karen have done an incredible job at juggling Brody’s care while simultaneously maintaining their careers & caring for their eldest son. That being said, the rigorous treatment plan will require Karen to take an extended leave of absence from work.

Our hope is to alleviate some of the financial stressors that come along with this type of diagnosis and allow them to focus on what matters most – their son’s health.
