Hi! My name is Charlotte Morrison and this year I am participating in a Christian gap year program called Year 13, which is designed to help me and my cohort grow closer to Jesus and build a foundation upon Him for the rest of life.

An important part of this year is the short-term mission trip to Fiji from 2-26 July, where we'll engage in spreading the good news of Jesus, serving through manual labour and hard work, forming connections and relationships with the community, and ultimately growing deeper in our own faith as children of God, and understanding the depth of his love for us.

The trip is in partnership with local churches which Year 13 has been visiting regularly over this time. Our mission statement is: Compelled by the gospel, we are going to Fiji to serve, encourage, and grow alongside the local church so that Christ’s name may be known and glorified.

In taking this trip, I am asking for your support. The trip costs almost $4000, which includes all costs - flights, food, giving to the kind Fijian families that will accomodate us in their homes, donating and gifting to the communities, and towards essential resources needed to serve, rebuild, and ultimately help the people in Fiji.

We have already heard many testimonies about the impact of this continual outreach to the communities there, as well as just how much of a transformative first hand experience of mission it is for the students, teaching them many lasting lessons about life and God after going. Im very excited and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this experience - as uncomfortable and eye-opening as it may be at times, and believe God will use us in a way that will greatly benefit everyone involved!
