Figueroa Recovery Fund
Please help us raise funds for the Figueroa family. On Wednesday, July 1 my sister's husband Rolando suffered a lethal cerebellar stroke. He was rushed to the ER where he faced many additional complications, including two additional strokes and pneumonia.
As of today, he is still in the ICU. We thank God he began breathing on his own and was removed from the ventilator on July 11. Despite that, he faces a long road of intense recovery, an extended stint at the hospital, and another few months at a rehabilitation facility.
This unexpected event has left my sister Ashlie overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of their three young boys, providing for the household finances, and paying for the growing medical expenses, all without the income they rely on from Rolando's job.
Ashlie is in need of assistance with child-care for the boys so she can return to work and continue to visit Rolando. Their immediate need is paying their bills and putting food on the table while planning for Rolando's at-home recovery (this could include medical equipment and changes to their home and vehicle arrangments).
Rolando is a devoted husband, a loving father, a world-class chef, and a wonderful brother-in-law. His heart is broken at the thought of not being able to continue his life-long career, but more importantly, that he is currently unable to provide for and care for his family.
Please consider helping us raise money for their family. Their need is great. Your donation will bless the Figueroa family and give Ashlie and Rolando peace of mind as he recovers. We appreciate you and any support you are able to provide.
