Fight w/Linda: Kick Cancer's Ass!

January 2nd, 2018, started off to be a typical winter day. Linda was battling a cold that she could not shake, her visit to her doctor resulted in a bronchitis diagnosis. With stubborn resolute, she decided to make an attempt to go into work at US Bank. As she walked from her car to the main entrance, her breathing became more labored. By the time she walked through the front door the situation became dire and 911 was called. That was the first time cancer tried to kick Linda’s ass.
As Linda laid in the hospital bed in the ER, we all learned that her cold was much more than something antibiotics could fight. In fact, it was not a cold at all. Linda was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. This means the cancer, that originated in her breast, had spread through her circulatory system, in her lymph nodes, lungs, and into her bones. Because she has tumors on her lungs, there is a fluid buildup that needs to be drained every two days. She needs to receive weekly infusions of chemotherapy for the next four months. If all goes well, she then will receive a cocktail of drugs that will reduce her estrogen level to keep the cancer at bay. Receiving this diagnosis was the second time cancer tried to kick Linda’s ass.
If you know Linda, you know she is a fighter, a warrior, a take-no-shit kind of woman. She has decided to fight back. She is in the midst of a chemotherapy which is already yielding positive results. Despite the side effects, she is persevering with her desire to become independent again. However, she cannot fight cancer alone and needs our help. Unfortunately, she is not able to go back to work and will be going on permanent disability. Her medical bills are stacking up and she will be on a restrictive income moving forward; hence, the need for a GoFundMe.
