Kaden Varela Payne is a 17 year old Junior at Wake Forest High School (NC).  Kaden is a competitor, excelling in baseball for both his HS team and during the summer on a national level with Canes Baseball. Kaden was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.  He underwent surgery on October 1st and will be going in for another surgery on October 23rd.  Kaden will be receiving an aggressive chemotherapy treatment during his surgery and will continue receiving treatment immediately after the procedure.  The initial plan is a minimum of two weeks in the hospital in ICU after surgery.  The baseball community is a close one and like anyone thrust into this situation, Kaden’s family can use our support.  #FightWithKaden.
