Fight For GIRLS in GHANA
EVERYONE DESERVES THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION!!! AND SO DO GIRLS IN GHANA
These are NUMBERS THAT SPEAK:
1) 24.2% of people in Ghana live below the national poverty line (WFP)
2) 76% of households in Ghana drink water that is contaminated with faecal matter (UNICEF)
3) 81% of Ghanaians lack access to improved sanitation or are entirely without toilet facilities (water.org)
4) The average number of years of education that the poorest girls from rural areas aged 20 to 24 can attain is about four years (UNICEF)
People in Ghana, especially girls and women are experiencing lack of necessities in their daily life like food, water, toiletries; and also suffering from the gender inequality in Ghana. These difficulties have been stopping them from living a life like others and stopping them from achieving an education, which is a RIGHT and a NEED.
--> We are Create Change RHS - a group of students who believe in helping those in need and protecting the rights of human to live in a sufficient life and to get access to education.<--
