This past summer, my dad was blindsided by the diagnosis of Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma, which is a rare cancer that forms in the bile ducts outside of the gallbladder. This has also spread to other parts of his body. My dad had recently been admitted to the hospital for huge clots in his lungs and his leg. As any typical person, this is very hard on everyday life with keeping the lights on and food on the table. He is extremely thankful for his co-workers who are graciously donating their built-up hours to him so that he may still receive a paycheck. Also, with the shutdown, he is unable to file for disability until everything is all straightened out.
This is just something a little extra for them so they don’t need to worry about medical bills and not being able to pay for his pain medicine. In which they have been having to do out of their pocket. Above all, if you aren’t able to donate, I ask you to donate time for a prayer. God is in this story and we give him all the praise.
