Gwendolyn Kelly, 63, is a loving mother and Grammy of two. She was previously employed as an educator, but for the last nineteen years has worked as a mental health technician/doctor's assistant at the Bridgeway Hospital. She is known for her kindness, her drive, her love for her family and her amazing sense of humor. 

On April 3, 2019 our Gwen was diagnosed with cancer (Intramucosal Adenocarcinoma) located in her colon, liver, and appendix. She was forced into disability due to it as well as a host of medical issues- glaucoma, fibromyalgia, diabetes, high-blood pressure and hypoglycemia.

Gwen just recently completed twelve weeks of chemo that were found to be unsuccessful since her cancer did not respond to her treatment. She is currently searching for a clinical study in Texas and GA that will help her beat this awful disease. Gwen has lost four brothers and one sister to cancer and is determined to win this fight. She will be starting another twelve weeks of chemotherapy on a different drug that we all pray will work. 

With the decrease in Gwen's income, it makes her fight one that is more than just physical; financially- she is responsible for co-pays, insurance, treatments, medications as well as her normal bills.

Gwen is a great person who has always given back to her community. She has cared for and loved individuals and collective groups in any and every capacity that she could. She now is in a position where we are able to give back to her and show her our love through supporting her financially!
