Update 4/2/23:
Forrest and Macy are beyond humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received over the last month. Forrest will be starting chemo this week at VCU with an oncology team that specializes in gastrointestinal cancers. Through VCU, he may also have the possibility to be involved in clinical trials after the initiation of chemo. Forrest and Macy are pursuing complementary therapies as well, including acupuncture and chiropractic care with practitioners who specialize in working with oncology patients. They ask for continued prayers as they navigate this daunting journey together.

Hi, my name is Jordan Bailey and I created this page in support of Forrest and his wife of 4 months, Macy, both lifelong residents of Powhatan County, Virginia. Macy took Forrest to the local emergency room on March 6th for persistent and worsening shortness of breath and cough after a prolonged bout of pneumonia. They received the life-altering news that 27-year-old Forrest has stage IV signet ring cell adenocarcinoma (a rare type of gastrointestinal cancer), which unfortunately has metastasized to multiple areas of his body. His care team recently placed a port and he is scheduled for additional scans and palliative chemotherapy.

Forrest will be unable to work and Macy has not yet started her job as a new registered nurse at the hospital where Forrest is receiving his care. Her start date has been postponed while she focuses her energy on supporting Forrest during this time. Macy and Forrest will be seeking alternative treatments in addition to the prescribed chemotherapy.

Forrest, Macy and their families are incredibly grateful for all the love, support and prayers. They are extremely appreciative of any financial support they are given as well. Raised funds will be used by the newlyweds to help with medical and living expenses as they navigate this challenging time. Feel free to message me for alternative ways to donate directly to the couple.
