- Hey all, some of you may know but most of y'all probably don’t. Sunday, July 7th, 2024, my little brother Mikey was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia just 6 days after his 23rd birthday. He had been fighting a fever for some time but after a few visits to the urgent care and ER, blood work was finally done when it discovered this terrible news. Luckily, he listened to his body when it told him something wasn’t right.
- He was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center for a couple of days where he was helped and coached for what he had to come. They recommended him to be transported to Tampa General for further treatment as they didn’t have anyone to read his results and after a ton of confusion, my mom transported him herself due to a big delay. After he got there, they got him right in and started doing serious testing. After a pile of tests, they realized how progressive and mature this was in his system.
- In good care, Mikey has been admitted into Tampa General for a few weeks and was told he may have a month to two months of treatment and care there. We aren’t asking to cover his medical bills we aren’t asking for anything but your sole support to show him the army he has behind him. I can’t think of any better way than to create this awesome shirt to help with medical bills and give Mikey a list of people and local companies to look back on when the days are low and he needs to see the army he has behind him fighting.
