This beautiful teenage girl is Shindale “Alex” Ladrillono. She is a loving person with such an angelic soul. I fell in love with her through video chats and pictures of being good friends with her mom. I’ve never loved a person without a meeting, but with her, my heart was all in just by seeing the look in her eyes and her sharing her current life experiences with me.

Last September, Alex grew a pain in her stomach that became unbearable. She went to the doctors and they decided to run tests. Alex found out her body was growing a tumor and not long afterward, found out it was cancerous. She has traveled to see doctors hours away and has even gone to a different state to fight this fight to be cured. Six hours away from home and a 3-month stay in a hotel, she went through pain and suffering from Chemotherapy along with surgeries and had lost her hair in patches through the process. I can still remember her face when she began losing her hair, she's that strong girl that took the initiative with a hair clipper, finished the job, cried, and held Faith so strong onto God. She has missed birthdays, holidays, family events in hopes to be cured; in December 2019, we found out she was CANCER FREE. We cried in joy and thanked the Lord.

April 2020, at a regular doctor checkup, she received abnormal test results. Again, they ran tests… to find out there was another cancerous tumor growing in a different location of her body. She has traveled from Alaska to Colorado for a months’ stay and recently 6 hours away from home for appts every month for checkups. With so many appts and her condition, her mother decided to stop working for the time being. Just this last week, we found out Alex’s medication isn’t fitted for her and her tumor is growing; doctors took her off her meds, and is seeking more help from a hospital in Memphis, TN where they will soon be traveling to.

With a single income for a family of six for over a year, times have hit hard. Along with their long commutes, her Mom (Jazz), Dad (Big Alex), and three siblings are exhausted from constant heartbreak from doctors. Although their medical insurance helps, it only provides so much for this family. We are asking kindheartedly for a bit of help for Alex. Whether that’s if you’re able to donate a dollar or if you send prayers up for her. She needs as much support as possible and we are willing to take all that it takes to help her fight, and when there’s no more fight left, we are going to fight some more and hold God's hand tighter than ever. We want Alex home with her family, enjoying her teenage life.
