Fighting to Stay Afloat – No Luxury, Just Basics

Hi, I’m Kristin – I’m an autistic small business owner in Sweden, and I’m trying to build something sustainable.

I run a small online gift shop with eco-conscious and science-inspired products. I love what I do, and I’m doing everything I can to make this business work. But right now, I can barely keep up with essential expenses – and the stress of unpaid bills is making it impossible to focus on the work I actually want to do.

Yes, Sweden has support systems. But when you’re neurodivergent, the system is often slow, confusing, and not built with people like me in mind. I’ve applied for help – but now I’m stuck in the waiting zone, doing my best to hold everything together while things slowly move forward.

I’m not asking for luxury. I just need a little breathing room – enough to get through this rough patch without sinking completely. So I can focus on the shop, and on building something that can actually support me long-term.
