*Please be aware that to protect the identity of minors involved in this story I will use fictitious child names. But, this story is ever so real and heartbreaking*

     My name is Katie. I am reaching out to the entire community for help! My husband and I are petitioning the courts for FULL CUSTODY of my beautiful Niece - age 7. We are fighting for her life. She is finally happy, stable, content and doing just wonderful!

     Everyone who knows me, knows my nieces sad life story. But for those who don't know the story I am providing a small piece of information about my nieces story - but please contact me directly if you'd like to know more. 

     For this story we will call my Niece, "Rose". Rose was age 5 years when her mothers "internet" boyfriend named Gilberto Loza, a horrible monster, took advantage of her in the most unimaginable way.  My niece was a child, a baby, so innocent, and he took her innocence away from her. More heartbreaking... her mother never reported the incident to authorities thus my Niece was forced to sleep under the same roof with this monster for an agonizing additional 9 days that we know of. Thankfully, my Niece came to her Auntie (me) and told me everything.
     Crying hysterically, my heart ripped out at that moment. I gathered myself together and went straight to the police where two wonderful Town of Montgomery, NY Investigators took charge and got to the bottom of the allegations. The same night, the abuser was arrested, confessed to his crime & locked up! Three months later he was sentenced to PRISON for 12 years plus 10 years parole and has to register as a sex offender. My nieces mother was also charged and plead "guilty" to child abuse/neglect in Family Court but she was allowed to keep her children under CPS supervision.

One month later she moved her kids from NY to Massachusetts where this incident occurred, forcing my niece to move moving right into the very same bedroom this act took place in and to top it off, my nieces mother forced my niece move in with the ABUSERS FAMILY!!! The stress on this precious baby was unbearable and almost totally destroyed her.  

To sum this all up;

I am fighting for FULL PERMANENT CUSTODY of my niece but right now we only have temporary custody. My nieces mother met another "internet boyfriend" and after only talking with this man for 2 or 3 months & meeting him only 1x, her mother hastily signed over temporary custody to me and took off to the State of Florida.

Reason for Go Fund Me:
We are seeking help to pay legal fees to fight for full & permanent custody which in the end we hope will lead into adoption of my Niece. We also are going to need help with future legal fees to petition the court for child support against her mother. (her dad pays support now faithfully).
