Fighting to Care for Others — Help Me Stay in Nursing School
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Karen Manfredo, and I’m a nursing student working hard to build a future centered on compassion, care, and community. Right now, I’m facing a very difficult time financially, and I need your help to stay on the path toward my dream.
I’ve always had a passion for taking care of people. I currently work with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients—a role that has taught me so much about patience, love, and the deep importance of human connection. Caring for them isn’t just a job to me; it’s something I feel deeply called to do. But balancing school, work, and life expenses has become overwhelming.
I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but the financial strain has reached a point where I need support. Between rising bills, transportation costs, and urgent car repairs, I’m struggling to make ends meet. My car is my only way to get to class, clinicals, and work. Without it, everything is at risk—my education, my job, and my future.
I was inspired to become a nurse by my grandmother, who devoted her life to caring for others. She was everything I hope to become—strong, selfless, and deeply committed to making a difference. I carry her spirit with me every day and dream of achieving the same kind of meaningful impact she had through nursing.
Your support would help me:
• Repair my car so I can continue getting to school and work
• Afford transportation and fuel costs
• Cover essential living expenses (rent, groceries, utilities)
• Stay enrolled in nursing school and complete my education
Every little bit helps—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign. I’ve come too far to give up now, and I know that with some help, I can keep going and one day give back tenfold as a nurse.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on this journey.
With gratitude and hope,
Karen Manfredo
