Current Stage 3 breast cancer patient, just lost mother to lung cancer on 2/22/2020 and been fighting for my own life since then. Money from my mother's life insurance ran out entirely and my siblings stole my inheritance, between Covid-19 and my own cancer I can not go out and work to make enough money for monthly bills... Its rough on everyone I know, but I just need some help, a break, something... Our monthly bills; rent/utilities are about $1000, so I set the goal at about $12000, a years worth... but any help at all is still help...
Currently i am going through the rigorous and unfair process of applying for disability and SSI, as well as possibly trying to get some unemployment benefits to try and hold things together, but none of that helps me right now.
I have a single child, a lovely college student on the deans list who put everything on hold to try and take care of my mother, and now me, and they can't do everything, because of that they're unable to go to work as well... having to take care of me in my relatively frail condition.
We just need some help to hold everything together for a little bit, long enough for the government to actually do their job and help us. If you do not have the money to donate to us directly, please point people who may be able to help to us, or donate to your local cancer support funds.
When I beat this any extra monies we may have received that are no longer 'needed' will be given as a donation to the cancer center currently treating me.
My mother lost her fight against cancer, it suddenly evolved into brain cancer than became lepto meningeal spread. I, her sole child, am trying to survive and get my feet under me, get stable, and will continue to use this gofundme as a lifeline until i no longer need it... all help is more than appreciated... i changed the photo to a less depressing picture of my mother, in memorial of her... it upset me to see her remembered in such a rough state.
