Hello, I'm Jean-Claude Tobias, an engineer who has been working in the United States since 2018. Unfortunately, I received devastating news 16 months ago when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has since metastasized to my lungs. Each day has become a precious gift as I live with the reality of a terminal disease.

Receiving news of an aggressive, incurable, and inoperable disease is an overwhelming blow. It leads you to reflect on the impact you've made in the world, whether you've been kind and generous enough. But the most significant concern that plagues my thoughts is whether I have enough resources to provide for my wife and children.

Growing up and witnessing my parents pass away without any financial safety net, I made it a priority to secure sufficient life insurance coverage to ensure my family's well-being in the event of my death.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I lost my life insurance coverage. While working as an expatriate in the United States, my coverage was terminated when the COVID-19 pandemic extended our stay by an additional two years. Attempts to obtain new coverage were thwarted by the requirement of a Green Card, which I have not received in time . Tragically, shortly after this realization, I received my cancer diagnosis, rendering me uninsurable.

I have already utilized half of my existing life insurance coverage to cover various expenses. Currently, my chemotherapy treatments cost over $270,000 per year, which is partially covered by medical insurance. However, with the treatment's diminishing effectiveness, I have been recommended for a clinical trial.

The funds raised through this campaign will be used to replace the lost life insurance coverage and provide financial support for my family's needs during this challenging time. Additionally, any surplus will help cover the expenses associated with participating in the clinical trial.
