Help Young Man Fight Cancer

RENALDO'S STORY

Renaldo is fundraising to buy stuff while fighting Multiple Myeloma blood cancer. He needs money to buy medicine, a new wheelchair, and other essential things.

He has gone through radiation and got chemotherapy. The doctor said he had a non-curable cancer. He didn't accept their world.

PARALYZED AND CANCER

In April 2021, He became paralyzed, and he could not walk. He went to the local hospital, and they sent him home. One day He was walking with a walker already in the house, and He fell on the floor and could not get up. However, He did not know he had cancer or that he was paralyzed. He spent two weeks on the floor in pain and not thinking to call the ambulance.

His friend came to the house on Friday in March 2021 and tried to help him up but he couldn't pick him up because He was paralyzed waist down. He told Renaldo to call 911. He called 911, and it took seven men to get Renaldo up. He spent hours at the Hospital before He was seen.

He was rushed to Duke University Hospital. He spent 3-4 months in the hospital getting cancer treatment and lab tests. Radiation helped him to move again, and He took physical therapy. He also started chemotherapy.

DISABLED AND VOLUNTEER WORK

He is disabled and cannot work a regular job. He was denied Disability but he is going to try again. He volunteers at a non-profit radio station. He prays it brings him a job. He can still talk and push buttons.

Before becoming sick he volunteered at a local Food Bank.

ABOUT RENALDO

Renaldo is known for his love for Photos and music. At a young age, he started making music and DJing. In 2005, Renaldo went to a local photo studio to learn photography. He did Photoshop work for the neighborhood photographer to learn photography. Before becoming sick from cancer, he spent years doing photography and making music.
