Fighting Multiple Myeloma

My name is Georgina but friends and family call me Gini. I have been on long-term disability for 19 years and sick for longer than that. Being ill that long has totally drained me not only emotionally, mentally, but financially.
In the fall there was another surgery and then in January the death of my brother from a tragic car accident. At this time I was being tested to see what was wrong with my blood. I knew I was getting so much more tired than usual and could barely climb the stairs without being out of breath.
On February 10th 2017 I was at Royal Victoria Hospital and learned my fate.
I was told I had Multiple Myeloma. That means I have cancer in my bone marrow that is crowding out it's ability to produce healthy red blood cells. If I did nothing I would have a few months to live. This news, as you would imagine, was shocking to me. I have always lived a healthy lifestyle. I do not smoke, rarely drink alchol and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I was told my only hope rested with Chemo. Because of my already existing conditions I felt going with chemo was impossible for me. I would not survive it.
So now I am seeing an Acupunturist known for helping ones with cancer and a Naturalpath who also has had good results. Also I use natural remedies and products (such as Essiac Tea, Cucurmin, and Xango). I have received pertinent information from friends, family, internet, books, and documentaries and other programs on cancer I made my decision to go a natural route to get healthy and beat the cancer. I have had much help and for that I am so grateful. Also used whatever insurance I had and now have only a couple of weeks left of funds available.
I should be dead by now but here I am still alive. There has been slight progress but it is early to see big results as yet. Holding my own with and looking forward to getting better.
However I need financial help. I set my goal according to what I expect these same treatments to cost me over the next six months. Not knowing how long this will take but not wanting to take advantage of anyone. I have received financial contributions from friends and family that has already been put into treatment. Other have asked what they can do to help. So I am setting up this Go Fund Me account because this treatment is working albeit slowly and I would like to have more time with my "adopted grand-babies".
I would like to live.
