Fighting Lymphoma Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Lois and I’m setting up this fundraiser as a way for people to donate towards my mom’s fight with Lymphoma. Her name is Sarah, wife of Joe, mother to 2 adult daughters and Mimi to 5 grandchildren. She has been through so much in her life. She’s struggled with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis her entire adult life. A little more than 20 years ago those diseases almost took her life. She received a small bowel transplant which gave her a second chance. She came through that long and difficult journey with the support and love from her family, medical team, and most importantly God holding her close. In November of 2022 during a routine endoscopy to check the health of her transplant she had a GI bleed. This set her health back greatly and since then had been dealing with pain. In February she had a colonoscopy which revealed a mass. After biopsies were taken she was diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma that is believed to be from the extended use of antirejection drugs she’s had to take due to her transplant. She’s been in and out of the hospital dealing with weakness, and all sorts of levels being off. We recently found out the Lymphoma has spread to her lungs. She just finished her first round of chemo and tolerated it well. One prescription medication she is on is costing them $1600 every month and that is with insurance coverage. That is only one medication. She has a counter full of meds she need to take each day. With family and loved ones across the country asking how to help, I’ve set this up as an easy way to donate towards those expenses. Yes, go fund me takes a transaction fee. All money will go to her medicine. If we raise extra then it will go to travel expenses as the main hospital responsible for her care and treatment is 3 hours away.
