"the first rule of..." Abbie's fight like a girl club is you don't talk about Abbie's fight like a girl club.
Actually, you can talk about it, but it took me a long time to feel comfortable with talking about it.
After visiting the ER for some unusual pain, I found out I had Ovarian cancer in mid March and started chemo treatments after I healed from surgery in mid April. I have been walking this journey silently trying to sort through my emotions while figuring out how to handle my new situation. As I've slowly come to terms with my diagnosis, I have started talking about my journey more comfortably and have been attending cancer support groups in my area. I am starting to find resources to help me on this journey with a little less stress, this page being one of those resources.
On top of the emotions, the treatments, and the physical side effects, many bills have started to go unpaid because of my inability to work a full schedule. It has been difficult to tell others about my journey, and it is even more difficult to ask others for financial support but I have learned so far that this diagnosis teaches a person to lean on others for help in order to beat this.
By starting this page I am reaching out to lean on you to fight with me. I will share my journey along with some amazing stories I have encountered during this season of my life. Will you please fight with me?
I will need help in affording everyday life expenses such as, rent, my vehicle payment, phone payment, some minor monthly bills to help me stay on track and not go into debt, gas and food from time to time when funds are low from my work schedule, and of course those accumulating medical bills and medical prescriptions after having the surgery and starting chemotherapy treatments. All help is appreciated and every share of my page is a helping muscle through this fight.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read through this and help show your support. Support and encouragement are great reminders to keep me in the fight but love and positivity from you all is how I make it through. Thank you!
