My husband and I came to Canada in 2018 as international students, filled with hope and dreams for a better life. We studied hard, worked even harder, paid our taxes, and did everything we could to contribute to this country we’ve come to love. Canada became our home—not just for us, but for our two precious children, both born here, growing up in a land that has taught them kindness, fairness, and community.
In 2020, after years of hard work and following every rule, we applied for permanent residency. We waited five long years. We believed in the system. We believed fairness would prevail.
But then came a devastating blow: our application was refused—not because of any wrongdoing, but based on a vague and baseless accusation of espionage.
No facts. No evidence. Just a label that has shattered everything we’ve built.
As a result of this decision, we are not only losing our home—we are now barred from returning to Canada. Even our Canadian-born children may have to leave the country they call home.
What breaks my heart most is imagining a future where, if they choose to study or live in Canada when they grow up, we won’t even be allowed to visit them. The thought of being separated from our children, watching them build a life here while we are forced to remain outside the borders—it’s unbearable.
We’ve already spent everything we could on legal help, but now we face the daunting cost of fighting this in court through Judicial Review. That’s why we’re asking for your support.
We’re not just fighting for our family—we’re fighting for fairness, and for others who may one day be treated this way. Canada is a country that stands for justice and truth. We still believe in that.
Please help us keep that belief alive—for our children, for our future, and for everyone who believes that no family should be destroyed by an unfair system.
Every contribution helps. Every share matters.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight for justice.
With deep gratitude,
Emma & Family
