Fighting Houselessness

Dear All,

I am writing this letter to request for your help. My mother has recently lost her job due to unforeseen circumstances. She needed time off from work to grieve her mother's passing, and during that time, she was assaulted. This unfortunate incident has led to her struggling with mental health issues.

As if that wasn't enough, she was served a Residential Warrant of Removal today. We have exhausted most of the resources available to us. The NJDCA and ERAP have already exhausted all allowable funds. We are at our wit's end and have nowhere else to turn.

We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and community, for any help you can offer. Once the arrears balance is paid in full, my mother can start the recertification for housing assistance again.

Your help will be the light at the end of the tunnel for us. We would be eternally grateful for any assistance you can provide.

Funds go directly to the Newark Housing Authority who have agreed to uphold the lease if the payment is made on or by June 14th 2023.

My mother takes care of my two younger siblings and my disabled uncle. Please help us in this time of need.
