I am raising funds for my law office as I represent women inmates in Maine prisons who have been harmed and silenced by a Maine law passed in 2021 that allows any man to self-identify as a woman and be housed with female inmates. Through the Mountain v. Liberty lawsuit, I am fighting to protect the rights and safety of incarcerated women who have been forced to share intimate spaces with biological men housed in women’s prisons based on gender identity. The women involved have endured sexual assault, threats, fear, and retaliation when they try to speak out. Some have been punished for reporting what happened to them, including being placed in solitary confinement, denied medication, or stripped of basic hygiene supplies. These are women with little power and often no voice, and I believe they deserve to be heard and protected.

This case is also part of a larger fight against the gender orthodoxy and ideology that, in my view, has taken priority over the basic rights, dignity, and safety of vulnerable women. I am challenging the policies and assumptions that allow women’s concerns to be dismissed and their suffering to be ignored. This matters because incarcerated women do not have the freedom to leave unsafe conditions or protect themselves. When ideology outweighs reality, the women paying the price are those who are already powerless. I believe their constitutional rights and their humanity must come first, and I am committed to making sure their voices are not erased.

This case is complex, urgent, and expensive. Legal fees have already exceeded $100,000, and the costs continue to grow as more work is needed to pursue justice. Donations will help cover attorney fees, travel, investigation, document production, court fees, depositions, and expert witnesses. Every contribution will help me continue this legal fight and stand beside women who cannot safely defend themselves. I am asking you to stand with me and with these incarcerated women who feel powerless and forgotten. Please help support this fundraiser and let them know that someone cares.
