Our lives turned upside down at the end of January with Darin’s diagnosis of testicular cancer. We saw a specialist in Springfield and he recommended immediate surgery which Darin had done the very next day. The next week was the longest week of our lives. Darin was in extreme pain, Gibson was sick with strep throat and we had to wait until the weekly follow up to find out if the diagnosis was cancer. Darin was diagnosed with a pure seminoma cancer tumor in his testical. We then went for a CT scan of his chest, abdomen, and pelvis to see if the cancer had spread. Luckily, the doctor got all of the cancer and it hasn’t spread anywhere else!! Darin will now have routine CT scans and blood work every 3 months to monitor the cancer, and he is considering a round of treatment for preventative measures. We are so blessed and thankful for all of the help we have received from family the past few weeks. Please consider helping out our little family in this time of need!
