Hi, my name is Yana. I’m a single mom to my beautiful 2-year-old daughter, Ally, and I’m fighting to overcome multiple challenges at once—serious medical issues, the threat of eviction, and a custody battle for my child. I never thought I’d need to ask for help like this, but right now, community support is the only way we can keep moving forward.

Over the past 5 months, I’ve been battling deep infiltrating endometriosis and a partially paralyzed stomach complicated by refeeding syndrome. These health challenges have made it impossible to work consistently in my job as a PCT in oncology, and with childcare costs and legal fees piling up, I’ve been drained financially. At the same time, I’m facing eviction and working through a difficult custody case involving domestic violence where stability means everything.

I have reached out to social services and local agencies many times for help, but they are overwhelmed and at capacity. Despite being on multiple waitlists for nearly two years, I haven’t been able to access any emergency support. In the meantime, I’m working toward certification in Medical Billing and Coding, which will allow me to work from home while managing my health and creating the stability my daughter deserves.

I’m attempting to raise $4,500 to help cover:

• Medical expenses and supplies for ongoing treatments

• Legal fees for my custody case

• Rent and essential bills to prevent eviction

• Basic needs for my child (childcare, food, clothes, stability)
