Help Us Fight for Simon
This is a journey we never expected to face.
Cancer was never a word we imagined hearing—especially at such a young age. In March 2025, my husband Simon was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain tumour, a Glioblastoma Grade 4.
It came completely out of the blue. Simon had no symptoms and was in the middle of training for an ultra marathon. One evening, while cooking tea, his ears suddenly popped. He became confused and couldn’t understand what I was saying. We feared it was a stroke—but that night, after a CT scan, we were told there was a mass on his brain.
What followed has been an incredibly difficult journey. Simon underwent an awake craniotomy, followed by 30 rounds of radiotherapy and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
In January, we were given hope—his scan was clear. But just weeks later, new symptoms appeared, and another tumour was found. This led to further surgery.
Devastatingly, the cancer has returned again.
We are now exploring every possible option, including clinical trials—one of which may be in London. We are determined to keep fighting for Simon and to give him every chance possible.
I am setting up this page to help support us through this incredibly challenging time—to access further treatment, to ease the financial pressure, and most importantly, to help give Simon more time.
Time to keep fighting.
Time to keep making memories.
Time to see our beautiful little girl, Sophie, grow up.
Any support, no matter how small, means the world to us. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and love.
Becky, Simon & Sophie
