On June 6, 2018, my dearest friend for over 30 years, Shannon Arrand McGuire had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. Upon receiving her diagnosis, she and her husband Brian were told that Shannon has a highly aggresive brain tumor - Glioblastoma Multiforme. Two days later Shannon underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tumors from her brain. Unfortunately, the surgeons were not able to remove the tumor completely and she will need continued, aggressive medical intervention to cure her cancer. She is only 44 years old & has 3 young beautiful children.

There are so many words (and as you can imagine not pleasant ones) to describe how her family and her friends are feeling, but instead I want to focus this story on how amazing of a woman Shannon is! To know her is to love her, truly! Her laughter is contagious and her heart is always open to others. She is genuine and generous beyond measure. Shannon is also a FIGHTER and is determined for the sake of her loved ones, especially her children, to beat this, laugh in cancer's ugly face, & live a long healthy life watching her kids grow.

To keep fighting the fight we know she will win, she needs donations for treatments & cost of living expenses. With living expenses already tight, any help given would be a blessing to this family.
