On July 31, 2025, our world shattered. That was the day we learned that our precious baby boy, Versace (“Sachi”), was diagnosed with cancer. The exact type remains uncertain, but his oncologist believes it most closely resembles hemangiosarcoma which is an aggressive and fast-moving blood vessel cancer in dogs. Hearing those words broke our hearts.

Despite everything, Sachi continues to be the same brave, sweet, and goofy soul who fills our days with laughter and love. His tail still wags when he sees us, he still greets everyone with joy, and he continues to fight with a strength that inspires us every single day.

We are grateful to have pet insurance, but the reality is that the costs of ongoing care of bi-weekly chemotherapy, ultrasounds, x-rays, medications, vet visits, and echocardiograms add up quickly, and we are nearing the limit of his pet insurance coverage. Still, we refuse to give up on him. Sachi deserves every chance to keep living the happy, love-filled life he brings to everyone around him.
