PLEASE SHARE....In 2017, my doctor says...I have some bad news, you have advanced Ovarian Cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. I underwent chemotherapy from November 2017 to April 2018. During this time, I had surgery. I was in remission for 4 short months, when a ct scan showed tumor growth again. Chemotherapy again from October 2018 to February 2019. Bloodwork indicates that my body is not responding to chemo. I am now being monitored and given medication to slow the progression of cancer. Since March, my tumour markers have been slowly increasing and my oncologist says it’s a sign of what the future holds. Chemotherapy is toxic - a poison that kills everything in our bodies. I have the opportunity to receive alternative treatment outside of Canada that could prolong my life which means more time to enjoy with my family, but it is very costly. There are no guarantees but I don’t want to leave this world thinking, “I should have tried this when I had the time!”
I want to grow old with my husband watching our children and grandchildren . My husband and I will be leaving on July 26 followed by my girls for the duration of my time away. The funds are going directly to help pay for the intense treatment I will receive at C.H.I.P.S.A. Hospital. We are very grateful for all the love and support we continue to receive from family and friends. ❤️
