- I
I never imagined I would have to write something like this, but I have no other choice.
On February 9th, we arrived in Thailand for what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. My partner went out to buy water and never returned. He was found collapsed, unconscious, and struggling to breathe on the street. He was rushed to the hospital and is now in intensive care.
He cannot breathe on his own. A machine is doing the work for him. His lungs are filled with fluid and infection, and he has pneumonia. The doctors are using a tube to remove pus from his lungs, but his condition is still very serious.
Right now, he cannot breathe or speak, eat, drink, without assistance. He is waiting and hoping for improvement and we are so scared together.
The cost of his care is rising fast. In just four days, we have already paid £1,694 in medical bills. The doctors say that if he cannot breathe on his own by February 21st, we will not be able to fly home on February 28th, as planned. That means even higher costs for treatment and new flights.
I never thought I would be asking for help like this. It’s already a very scary place to be as we don’t know how long this support will be needed. But we can’t do this alone this time we really need support from kind people like you .
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. £1, £5, £10—every donation adds up. If there are any funds left after his treatment and safe return home, we will donate them to others who are in similar situations and needs support!
This isn’t about how much anyone can give—it’s about coming together to support a life in need. Please share, send good thoughts, or donate if you can. We are so grateful for every bit of help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
